Sithara Thomas is a native of Kerala, India and pursued her undergraduate education in Medical Laboratory Technology (Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum, India), post-graduation in Medical Biochemistry (Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research India) and doctorate under the guidance of Dr. P. Nisha (Principal Scientist) from CSIR-NIIST, Trivandrum, India, as Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) fellow in 2019. In 2020, Sithara took up a position as a postdoctoral research scientist at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA for a year. Continuing her pursuit of excellence, since November 2021, she has been working as a post-doctoral research fellow at Dr. Peeyush Thankamani Pandit’s Lab in the Department of Neurosurgery at McGovern Medical School, University of Texas Health Science Centre at Houston.
