Seungil Kim, PhD
Dr. Seungil Kim is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Kim received a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Manitoba in Canada in 2018. As an expert in polymer/biomedical engineering, his current research focuses are: 1) bioabsorbable embolization biomaterials for treatment of cerebral aneurysms, 2) bioabsorbable medical devices for cardiovascular diseases including artificial grafts, aortic valves, and cardiac patches, and 3) topical target delivery of therapeutics using medical devices and nanocarriers.
