Stacey Wolfe, MD
Dr. Stacey Wolfe is a cerebrovascular neurosurgeon, Professor of Neurological Surgery and Radiology at Wake Forest School of Medicine, Residency Program Director, and Director of Neurointerventional Surgery. Following Endovascular and Cerebrovascular/Skull Base Fellowships at the University of Miami, she served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy. She is the site co-PI of NINDS StrokeNet, the StrokeNet site Fellowship Director. She has secured intramural funding for several investigator-initiated studies, including and after establishing a human cerebrovascular tissue bank, she began studying the Piezo 1 mechanoreceptor in human aneurysm specimens as a potential translational therapeutic target.
