Meet Adrienne Moraff
Where are you from, and what is your triathlon experience?
I originally hail from Puerto Rico, grew up on the East Coast, then moved out to California for neurosurgery residency at Stanford. I got into triathlons when my chairman sent us one of Elaine’s (Cindy Sherwin’s mom and BAF Board member)emails looking for athletes. I thought I was signed up for a relay…
Tell us…Why TeamCindy? What does the Brain Aneurysm Foundation cause mean to you?
Team Cindy gives me space to train for a great challenge with one of the best groups of people I’ve had the privilege to know. Everyone’s lives have been touched in some way by brain aneurysms and we’re all dedicated to improving outcomes for patients and their families.
What are you most excited about, and most nervous about for the 2019 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon?
This will be my fourth year, and I’ll be trying to train while being chief resident of the neurosurgery service. No small task…
A fun fact about me is…
I used to be a collegiate ballroom dancer!
