Elaine Schaller
Elaine Schaller, formerly Vice President of NEFCO, Inc. and previously an elementary school teacher in the NY/NJ area, is currently retired. Elaine discovered the Brain Aneurysm Foundation when a former employee at NEFCO, Inc. made a donation to the BAF following the 2007 death of her daughter Cindy. Cindy succumbed to a brain aneurysm rupture at the age of 33 while training for her first Ironman. TeamCindy, was formed when Frank Eeckman (fellow BAF Board Member) offered to run an Ironman to raise awareness and funding. Elaine has since grown TeamCindy to be a prominent fundraising arm of the BAF and provide critical funding annually through the TeamCindy Chair of Research.
