The Danielle Lebron Guzman Chair of Research

Danielle Guzman passed on September 6, 2013 to a massive ruptured brain aneurysm at the age of 39. She was a nurse by profession, but her true love was her devotion to being a wife, mother of two boys, daughter, aunt and friend. She was loved by those that knew her and had a giving soul by nature. She loved life and was always willing to give to others. Her legacy would continue to do just that; and on September 30, 2014 the First Annual Danielle Lebron Guzman Golf Outing was started. Danielle’s husband, who is a firefighter, along with a brother fireman at the West Orange Fire Department started the yearly outing with the help of their brothers in blue; they have turned the annual event into a success. The family hopes to be able to help so many with this grant so that another family will not have to suffer a tragic loss like theirs.
