Countdown to September: Turning Awareness Into Action

September is Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month, a powerful opportunity for the community to come together and raise awareness, honor survivors and caregivers, support critical research, and further advocacy efforts.

Affecting 1 in 50 people in the United States, brain aneurysms are still underfunded and too often ignored. This September, we invite you to turn awareness into meaningful action. Whether you’ve been personally affected or are passionate about making a difference, there are many ways to get involved: big or small.

Help us urge Congress to pass Ellie’s Law, which would create the first dedicated funding stream for brain aneurysm research, focused on preventing ruptures and improving long-term outcomes for survivors. When our elected officials hear from constituents, it makes a difference. Take just a few minutes to send a pre-written message or customize your own here:

Our ambassadors are the heart of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, passionate advocates who raise awareness and educate their communities. We’d love for you to join us, help share our mission with your friends, family, and community.

Plus, when you sign up, we’ll send you a BAF-branded hat to wear with pride!

Whether it’s a birthday, a milestone, or honoring a loved one touched by a brain aneurysm, there’s no gift more meaningful than saving a life.

Create a Facebook fundraiser to support lifesaving research, education, and advocacy. It’s easy to set up, and every dollar raised helps us get closer to a world free from the devastation of brain aneurysms.

Create Your Own Awareness Event

From small gatherings to large community walks, every event brings us one step closer to a world without brain aneurysms. We’ll support you with ideas, resources, and promotion.

Connect with thousands of survivors, caregivers, and advocates across the country. Share your story, learn about risk factors and warning signs, and help educate others.

Looking for a meaningful way to get involved this year? Events are happening across the country, from community walks and 5Ks to marathons, fundraisers, and our annual Research Grant Symposium.

No event near you? No problem, you can always create your own! We’ll help you get started.

This September, every little bit helps. Whether you reach out to your legislator, become an ambassador, start a fundraiser, or just follow along and share our message, you’re making a difference. Together, we’re raising awareness, supporting survivors, and pushing for the research that can save lives.
