DESCRIPTION:2nd Wednesday of every other month \n\n\n6:00pm \n\n\n\nThe Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Brain Aneurysm and AVM Support Group is held at: \nUPMC Presbyterian Hospital\n200 Lothrop Street\nDepartment of Neurological Surgery\nSuite B-400\, Main Conference Room\, 4th Floor (signs are posted)\nPittsburgh\, PA 15213 \n2024 Meeting Dates – combo of virtual and in person meetings \nMeetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every other month at 6:00pm \nFor specific dates and to RSVP\, please reach out to either Rachel Wrigley or Sarah Kwiatkowski to receive more detailed information about the group.  \nRachel Wrigley at rogersr4@upmc.edu\nSarah Kwiatkowski at kwiatkowskise@upmc.edu \nThe Department of Neurological Surgery utilizes cutting edge technology to provide world class care to patients with brain aneurysms and AVMs. Our goal with this group is to extend this care and provide a supportive environment for patients\, family members and friends to share their experience and also to develop a support community where patients and families can continue to communicate outside these monthly meetings. We believe that sharing your experience with others and providing education on methods to cope and adapt to the changes that accompany such diagnoses will benefit not only patients but also their family and friends. At each meeting we will have a guest speaker that will give short presentations and then open the floor for discussion. Speakers are from such fields as neuropsychiatry\, physical medicine and rehabilitation\, research and more! \nDiscounted parking tickets\, as well as refreshments\, will be provided at each meeting. We would appreciate an RSVP if you plan to attend.
