  • 1 in 50 people has a brain aneurysm
  • Women are more likely than men to have an aneurysm by a 3:2 ratio
  • Communities of color are twice as likely to suffer a brain aneurysm rupture

This year,1in50_donate button_sm with your help, the Brain Aneurysm Foundation is launching a campaign to raise awareness about brain aneurysm disease and its prevalence in every community across the country. Each week the Brain Aneurysm Foundation will focus our 1 in 50 campaign on a new community and together, through increased awareness, and cutting-edge research, we will make an impact on the devastation caused by brain aneurysms. Your participation in this campaign is critical and will bring about much-needed change. Make 1 in 50 personal – celebrity chef and author Mario Batali has made it personal by joining our campaign to raise awareness!

The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is the largest private funder of brain aneurysm research. As part of this campaign, we are establishing the 1 in 50 Chair of Research to honor our community of survivors and loved ones lost. Increased funding is the key to finding effective treatments, interventions, and ways to prevent aneurysms from developing.
